LRCA welcomes new Executive Director

The LRCA has my heart and I am so proud of the work we do together!

We offer connections in our community in ways that creates positive impacts and greatly affects lives. Together, we have increased awareness about our service to community, reconnected the LRCA with many community partners, focused on strategic planning, become land owners and hundreds of other achievements in between.

I am so grateful for the opportunity to work in this community. And I am grateful for all the support that I have received personally over the past 3 years.

I have resigned from the position of Executive Director, but not as a lifetime supporter and advocate of the LRCA.

This week, we welcome Christy Villiers as the new Executive Director of the LRCA.

Christy has lived in Ladysmith for the past 4 years and has been in the Cowichan Region for 15 years. She is proud to be raising 4 children in Ladysmith and promotes a culturally safe and healthy community for all members of Ladysmith including youth, young families, and elders.

Christy is an avid cyclist, loves to garden and is a big hockey fan especially when her kids are playing.

We are so excited to welcome Christy and look forward to her leadership at the LRCA!

Please stop by to say hello!

In friendship,
Shannon Wilson
