Community Access Program computer lab

Industry Canada's Community Access Program (CAP) gives thousands of Canadians affordable access to the Internet in places like schools, community centres and libraries. It provides access to those people who might not have computers or Internet access in their homes or workplaces.
Currently the LRCA CAP lab consists of 4 workstations using 19" ViewSonic CRT monitors. These stations provide Internet access, word processing and printing services. The public can use these stations free of charge by signing a log book to track usage. There is a small per page fee for printing.
From September 2005 to September 2006 2049 people logged in to the LRCA CAP lab for a total of 1692.5 hours.
A VOIP (Voice Over Internet Protocol) phone is available for free calls to the Victoria area.
The CAP Lab also provides wireless Internet access through an Airport Wireless-G base station for wireless capable laptops/notebooks.
