Dads Group Support Worker

The Ladysmith Resources Centre has an opening for a male worker to work with the program coordinator in the Dads Group. The Dads Group provides support and education for men, whose partners are pregnant or are new mothers with children 0 – 6 years of age, who live in the Ladysmith area. The group meets on Saturday mornings throughout the year.

• Social Services Diploma or Early Childhood Education diploma or equivalent education and experience
• Experience working with families with young children
• Theoretical and practical knowledge of parenting young children
• Good interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team
• Organizational skills
• Positive lifestyle
• Criminal Record Check

Hours: 8 hours/week
Wage – $14.00 – $16.00 per hour
Position to start December 17, 2011
